Good ol’ Uncle Gary back at Compunizzle sent me this photo and was wondering what I thought about creating some Tech Olympic games. What do you think?

I have a young son and more importantly I have a heart. This video below is one of the most touching videos I have ever seen. It’s a video of a father who returned home from serving 7 months in Iraq and his 6 year old son found out when he showed up at school.
It’s a wmv file I got from email and I haven’t converted it yet so you need be using Windows, sorry Phil ![]()

Belleville West had it’s annual “vein drain” today, a blood drive hosted on Halloween. I decided to go down and give blood for the first time. I’m on the cot thing and had previously told the lady I was a little nervous. She puts the needle in and says, “there it’s all over.” I didn’t even flitch when she did that. I told her, “that’s not what I’m nervous about, I’m nervous about what my body’s going to do when you drain it.”
In the end I was fine, they did have to lay me down while I gave but I filled the bag no problem and didn’t pass out…thought maybe I would after the first 30 seconds when I was still sitting up, but I didn’t.
The best part about giving blood at Belleville West is that they treat all staff like teachers and therefore they get front of the line treatment since they assume you need to get back to class. VIP treatment baby, oh yeah.
